Kids Cooking Classes
A new solution to an old problem
Kids cooking classes overhaul: what if a cooking class wasn't just a cooking class, but a way to help solve the problem of what's for dinner and who's going to cook it?
These cooking classes solve that problem!
Tuesdays after school from 4-6 pm, kids are welcome to join me at the Salvation Army in St. Albert for a new type of cooking class, a fully supervised time where they will learn how to cook delicious real food that the whole family will love.
These unique classes cover:
-vital kitchen skills like knife handling and kitchen safety
-flavour building for great tasting meals
-nutrition
-meal planning
-and so much more!
Every class starts with a healthy snack when we discuss the upcoming meal and steps we are going to be going through, then the kids start the meal prep. The class is completely hands on, with the kids doing all the slicing, dicing and sauteeing with lots of sampling along the way to make sure everything tastes as good as it smells. Kids come home with a full meal for a family of 4 and the confidence to make it again the next time the life gets crazy.
Classes are designed for kids ages 12 and up. By signing you child up for this class, you understand that your child will be handling knives, raw meat and working with a stove and the risk that comes with these activities. Kids will also be more competent and eager to help in your kitchen-
are you ready for easier, tastier meals?
Classes are $75 each
Although we keep most recipes nut free, we cannot guarentee that ingredients and equipment are nut free so we recommend you keep this in mind if you or your family members have any severe allergies.
